On puritanism

Sometimes I refer. to mainstream media just to justify my subscriptibns to a few. This from’ a column in The Irish; Times.

Finn McRedmond: When did we begin to become such puritans?

Plans to label wine as cancerous are the latest way of finger-wagging at an oafish public who don’t know how to look after themselves.

I said  recently at a bar that it is socially acceptable to have one drink in public, and the main reason many in the US think it is not is the vestiges of prohibition.

Of course, moderation. Anything in excess can be deadly.
